JNU Violence: Swara Bhasker, Riteish Deshmukh, Richa Chhada Are VERY ANGRY Over The Brutal Student Attack
The recent law of Citizenship Amendment Act and NCR have created ruckus in the country. Earlier, we saw a protest from the student of Jamila Millia, now we see another havoc in the capital. Last night, a group of masked men and women who allegedly are associated with ABVP were seen armed with sticks, rods and acid, unleashing terror and violence on the campus of one of the premier institutes of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday evening. According to several reports, the masked goons went about storming the campus, breaking glasses, rampaging through hostels and attacking students and teachers, vandalizing the place. After the horrific incident outside JNU, many Bollywood celebs came out in open and expressed their concern and disappointment on the same on their social media handles. From Swara Bhasker, Riteish Deshmukh to Richa Chhada, everyone has shared a few pictures of the incident

Last night, Swara took to her Instagram handle and shared a video where she made an urgent appeal saying that the people in the city have completely went out of control, she wrote, “URGENT SOS appeal. Urgent appeal!!!! To all Delhiites PLS gather in large numbers outside the Main Gate of JNU campus on Baba Gangnath Marg.. to pressure the govt. & #DelhiPolice to stop the rampage by alleged ABVP masked goons on JNU campus. PLS PLS share to everyone in Delhi! 9pm on 5th. Jan 2020.”

While Deshmukh blasted on the masked mod for doing such illegal act, he wrote on Twitter, “Why do you need to cover your face? Because you know you are doing something wrong, illegal & punishable.  There is no honour in this-Its horrific to see the visuals of students & teachers brutally attacked by masked goons inside JNU-Such violence cannot & should not be tolerated.”

Richa shared a picture of a teacher who is injured after the incident, she tweeted, saying, “This teacher was hit on the head with an iron rod by RW goons. JNU students were protesting a fee hike. If you’re STILL on the side of the aggressors, you’ve chosen goons over students, violence over education. You’re choosing a hopeless future for yourself and your kids.”

After the student and the staff of JNU were attacked by the masked mob, the university’s administration called the police for help and after two hours of vandalism and destruction, Delhi Police reached the campus and conducted a flag march.
